Attention All Personnel: Incoming MASH Customs

I've wanted 8" MASH figures for a LOOOOONG time. Iconically, now is the time when it's probably most likely to happen with the recent 8" resurgence. Until they hit the shelves though, here's what I've come up with. First of all, the heads were sculpted by our own Andy Covalt. I can't tell you how talented this man is. This pictures don't do his work justice. Thank you so much Andy for your patience and your skill. Plus, as a bonus... it won't be long before Norm from Cheers can have a drink with Hawkeye and Trapper.

***Andy is allowing me to sell casts of the heads. Once I'm ready to do that, I'll let anyone who is interested know.***

    Recipe -
2 great sculpts from Andy - painted by me
tan t-shirts from FTC dyed green
Trapper Hawaiian shirt (a Bratz 10" boys shirt, dyed yellow)
Hawkeye's Hawaiian shirt - hand sewn by me. I created the pattern, uploaded it to Spoonflower.com and magically about 2 weeks later some fabric showed up with my pattern on it.
Pants and boxers sewn by me. white fabric dyed green
    Robes - Sewn by me
Scrubs made by me (except Hawkeye's shirt. I found it in my parts bin and converted it to short sleeve)
Boots - whatever I could find lying around
    Dog tags - Cotswold Collectibles.
MASH sign - made by me

Quick note: I cobbled together a skinny body for Hawkeye, cuz it felt right at the time. If I ever make any others, I probably will just use a regular body.

Very Good likenesses! Those are great. I never thought about dyeing doll clothes before. And I'll have to look into spoonflower.com.

Wasnt there an off brand licensed Mash line close to 8 inches tall, similar to Marx with molded clothing and some cloth accessories? I definitely don't mean the 4 inch line.

Note: All images taken from completed eBay auctions. Back in 2008, Peter Kurch wrote a wonderful analysis of the 1982 Tristar line of M*A*S*H collectibles (action figures, vehicles and a huge playset). But Tristar wasn’t the first company to release M*A*S*H action figures. That distinction falls to Durham Industries Inc., which released a pair of … Continue reading "Durham M*A*S*H Action Figures, Circa 1975"

Is he open to do other custom sculpts?
