    Mego Thursday

I spent last evening loading up all the images for Mego's grand launch back to Target stores (You can see it all at the MegoMuseum), even got a call from Mego's president last night. So I'm suer nostalgic, grateful and entirely validated right now, also tired. Anyway, Mego is what brought me on this grand adventure, so I declare today Mego Thursday!

Awesome sauce! This is what it's all about. Exciting times for Mego fans to have them back in stores under the Mego banner, and it all came from love of whats here on this page.

Great ad. I had everything except those 2 rc cars. I wish Mego's president would call me!

Great declaration! Anything with Type 1 ads is always positive....it would be so neat if Mego Corp re-released some Type 1 nostalgia figures, like RC Batman with the Type 1 boots (just change the materials like how the new AJ white boots appear to be vinyl,so they won't split)....that would be so so very awesome

The $5.99 Batmobile is really great.

Viva Mego! My original Captain America was from JCPenney; I'm almost positive it was from this ad.

Great to see the Jokermobile offered in '79, too.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I can remember being very young and gazing at such an ad as this. For whatever reason the oven mitts fascinated me. Perhaps because I’d lost mine so quickly after opening my Batman. Talk about eye candy, pages like this are a feast.
