Fun episode, and I loved how incredulous Jason was at Brian for loving such unlovable material, but NOT getting Dune. You can't argue taste.

I don't think I've ever made it all the way through Dune in one sitting. I know my friends and I rented it shortly after it hit VHS and were bored to tears and confused. I think it's one of the few movies we gave up on and ejected unceremoniously.

Since then, I have caught most of it on TV, but I can't say it ever hooked me enough to give it the proper viewing. I never read the book, so that's part of the problem.

I didn't know Brian was so staunchly anti-fantasy. A very revealing episode!

Oh yeah, I do not enjoy things with wizards.

Interesting and weird turn of events after this episode. I mention but do not name the kid I saw this movie with, we have not had any contact since 1985. Nothing, we have no mutual friends, he doesn't even live in the country.

One week after the show drops, I get word that he's peeping me on linked in.

      That's just weird.

He probably just wants to let you know you most likely won't understand the new Blade Runner the first time you watch it.

That's my favorite genre. Ray Harryhausen moves, Conan, D&D, MOTU, knights, wizards and Dragons, I loves that stuff.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Ha! That's probably it. He probably wants to explain the last 33 years of movies to me. He's worried I haven't understood a single movie since we parted company.

Oh Sinbad movies are an exception for me, I love those. Also, anything with Gods gets an easy pass.

I even like those cheesy Steve Reeves Hercules movies. Those are a hoot.
