Fresh for the Fourth of July! "Why, He's TOAST-A-RIFIC!"
America's greatest hero! "Leave everything to me!"
"POWDERED TOAST MAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!"
So if you went to MegoMeet, you might have seen an in-progress version of this standing at the table I was sitting at. I've never really put together a figure at the meet, but I've watched everyone else do it and thought "one of these times, I'll have something I want to complete and I'll do it here...." So in the end, I decided to make PTM. Who else was going to do it?!?! However, parts were hard to come by this year and I wasn't sure I was going to leave with much more than I showed up with...a head, a body, and boots. I got a good bodysuit from David Lee's table but no one had red shorts!!
But who came to my rescue? Who had a pair of shorts in his pile of things that he not only found for me but gave to me free for nothing?
None other than the man of the hour and all around cool guy CHARLEE FLATT!! He gave me the red shorts and said "What else does he need?" "Well, his logo..."
That's when Charlee gave me a piece of vinyl so I could make the letters on his shorts! So thank you Charlee! You're the man!
The head started out as a NYCC 2017 Kidrobot Mini Vinyl Powdered Toast Man. I cast the head and extended the back where it was cut on an angle. I also build up the facial details as the original was somewhat flat and just relied on the paint apps to make it pop. Castaway boots and light blue CTVT gloves complete it on a Doc Mego swivel arm figure.
Thanks for looking! Have a good Fourth!!
