FINALLY finished my custom built Santa Maria style Grill

Just in time for the 4th of July!!!

Took me forever to complete, as I have limited free time, plus this was my first ever crack at building something like this. I’m not a cement/masonry/brick layer/stone cutter expert whatsoever. Made lots of mistakes along the way, but adjusted and corrected them, I got better over time. I’m pretty happy how it turned out.

Excuse the backyard mess...as I’m currently renovating...

Love my giant cacti in the back, great complimentary background...

    Hope you like!

Later after the Holiday...I’ll post a Flickr album of the entire build, from beginning to end.

It only took me half a year...

Still can’t believe I constructed/built it all by myself.

The only thing I didn’t make was the top crank wheel drop-in steel grill part, that was a custom purchase from JD Fabrications.

The bottom steel grate part, where the charcoal/wood sits, I made it from Home Depot materials.

                      Come on down!

All that cacti was planted by my late father over 20 years ago...it probably weighs a ton...

that looks fantastic Hector. nothing like the satisfaction of building something with your own hands. You will get a lot of enjoyment out of that over the years. Happy 4th my friend!
