Planet of the Apes trashcan by Cheinco

So, I needed a trash can for my office, a kind of mundane task I guess but because my whole room is decked out in vintage stuff, I decided the can itself had to be vintage.

It took me a while, mostly because the ones I kept finding were Hockey (I do live in Canada) or stuff like "Strawberry Shortcake" that really don't work for me.

I finally settled on Planet of the Apes because 1) I like Planet of the Apes and 2) I had this in my room as a kid after finding it at a yard sale.

So, lo and behold, my new garbage can, enjoy humans...

Cool! As a kid I had a DC metal trash can, the same shape as that POTA one.

Found a pic of it online:

    PUNY HUMANS!

The mash-up of Apes artwork on bright red just makes it brilliant, enjoy!

Nice! Those trash cans always got nasty and rusty and dented. I had a Snoopy one.

I remember watching Reality Bites in the 90s and being impressed that they were clever enough to have Ben Stiller's character being protective of his Dr. Zaius statuette in his office. A trash can would've made more sense for a work environment.

Nice! I dig the artwork. I love the human in the jail cell. Kind of looks like the GI Joe Intruder villain!

I have that DC trashcan and the Superman The Movie one as well. They are fun display pieces.

I have this one in my toy room.

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
