Wow, I had no idea about the real story or this movie, but both look fascinating. And anything where it has toys and Nazis getting their asses kicked is a good thing.

I really enjoyed the documentary and what I have seen online about the real person and his project.

The movie looks well done... and I'm certainly the right demographic for a movie about action figures... but based on the trailer, I'm a little unsure if it nails the right tone.

Agreed. The doc was so fascinating because it was so earnest, but this seems sanitized.

I'll hand it to Zemeckis though, even if I don't like all his movies he's always trying something different.

I saw that documentary years ago and I remember being all light and happy at first and then as the story unfolded about why that all came to be, it made me very, very sad.
