49ers legend Dwight Clark, 61, dies of ALS

Wow, I never knew he had ALS. Will always remember "The Catch" when they beat Dallas which seemed to signify the start of their dynasty in the early 80's.

I saw him catching The Catch live on TV...and was one of the most thrilling events I’ve ever witnessed...my sister and I were jumping up and down like little kids (we were teens, lol). Clark was one excellent possession receiver.

    Too young, way too young.

Thank you for the thrills and great memories...rest in peace, my friend...

Saw "The Catch" live too. 8th Grade. My Steeler buddy and I quickly got on the phone after the game and called our Cowboys' classmate Fermin Campos. I convinced his Mom I was someone else (otherwise he wouldn't have gotten on the phone) and as he was approaching to grab the phone, he was still screaming at God and anyone that would listen about his Cowboys' loss. That's when my buddy and I really gave him a verbal swift kick in the yarbles. And oh my brothers, he did not like it.
I'll never forget that catch, nor the humble, classy guy Clark was. Very sad news indeed.
You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.
