You know, I'm not as fond of Mankiewicz as I was of Robert Osborne. Sometimes he comes across as a little smug to me, and I've noticed TCM has him repeat things (before and after a movie, he might share the same anecdote, whereas they used to offer different insights).

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.
TCM is great and has been for years. Nothing better than having some time to sit down and watch something when TCM is airing an old favorite. I like the way they curate movies and have a run of movies that are linked somehow.
I thought for sure, TCM would show The Longest Day, on the anniversary of the invasion, but they never did,
a bit disappointed, great movie with an all star cast. Well maybe next year since that would be the 75th anniversary.
Has anyone tried their streaming channel, Filmstruck? There is an option for the TCM movies and the Criterion Collection for $10.99 a month and I have been thinking about giving it a try. I miss the days when IFC had "Samurai Saturday" and the Criterion Collection has many of those films.
