New Intellivision game console coming from some of original system's developers.

Interesting. A new modern Intellivision. Not just another retro plug and play flashback.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

          Edit:

The name of the new console has been revealed as the "Intellivision Amico".

Games will be mostly download only, but there will also be limited edition physical product and certain retailer exclusives.

(On a related note, the CollectorVision Phoenix also has me very interested.
Will play all the original ColecoVision cartridges, HDMI output, plus you can also use SNES controllers with it.)

Yeah the price will be $149-$179 USD. Games will run from $2.99-$7.99. The console itself looks like the Intellivision 2. Besides the controllers it comes with, you can download an app that lets you use your mobile phone as additional controllers. It sounds like they'll be redoing some Intellivision,Atari,NES and Genesis games. Release date is October 10,2020 or as they put it"10102020"

              Intellivision reveal trailer.

This was our first initial reveal trailer before we started deep designing the console. As we got further in development we made hardware changes and additi...

2D graphics only and only E rated games. The lack of physical game releases is a deal breaker for me.

Tommy Tallarico has earned a ton of my respect. The way he's handled the hate they've been getting is great.

We had Intelllivision and, for that reason, I’m interested. However, it’s release date is still almost two years off. Because of that, I’m skeptical.

Just announced a new version of Earthworm Jim for the Amico. They got the original team that did the first two games to do the new version.

Earthworm Jim is one of those game series that have aged poorly. The graphics, music and character designs were very good for the time. But the actual game play and level designs were just not good. The difficultly was too high and the levels were purposely frustrating to navigate.

It's like the original Battletoads. That kind of mean spirited difficulty, frustrating level designs and game play mechanics just wouldn't fly any more. The Turbo Tunnel level was RARE just cruelly screwing with the player. Not to mention it was a two player co-op game that was made purposely more difficult by having the players damage each other more than enemies they were fighting.

They'll be at E3. Also said the breakdown of games will be 25% Classic/Retro,25% will be original,25% will be sports games and 25% will be board, dice, word, puzzle, and card games.

That Intellivision is very cool on many levels.

                              It is so good looking!
