and it's Jaime Foxx??? guy is a good actor but I don't think he is right for this role. might also be poor timing after the crap fest that was Amazing Spiderman

I can't believe Jamie Fox would do this.

Guess this means we'll likely get yet another movie about a masked/disfigured character who rarely wears his mask and will likely have a very slight disfigurement. I can't imagine and actor with Foxx's ego wanting to have his face covered by a mask or under tons of prosthetics...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I think ASM2 was more the fault of the material than the cast. He was great in Django Unchained. And I have a real soft spot for his work in Any Given Sunday.

$10-$12 million budget? Not sure how they'll pull that off.

Is Spawn even on anybody's wish list of movies? Hard to believe there is still an audience for the character.

good point. But I am sure there is still a fan base and with the current success of superhero properties, this is probably the best time for macfarlane to try and resurrect his franchise

Wow - everything about this seems nuts and then all starts to make sense if you think about it. If there's ever a perfect time for a Spawn reboot now seems to be the time. My guess is it's Frank Miller style thing shot on greenscreen. I assume McFarlane and Foxx will own a big chunk of this. For $12 mil. it seems impossible to lose money. 12 mil. is small, but it isn't super small for a Blumhouse movie.

Also, if McFarlane wants to direct movies this probably makes a lot of sense for him to do.
