    Capt. America shield shooter

Does anybody out there currently own one of these? Or did you ever have one back in the days? The Captain America version of these shooters are the most difficult to find.

I remember seeing these advertised in Heroes World ads, but I would have been disappointed to find you don't get an actual plastic shield at all. Great packaging, but that's a bait-and-switch toy for sure.

Never had one as a child but I've had 3 of them over the years.

Yeah I'm very familiar how hard they are to come by. The last one I bought was around 7 years ago. Spidey and the Hulk ones are pretty easy to find but the Cap is by far the hardest. 2 of the 3 were bought off US Ebay and the 3rd I found on Aussie Ebay. If you're really into the shooters there's a Hulk target game that came with 3 of his shooters in it. It's pretty hard to find also. There are a couple of variants of the Spidey and Hulk shooter too.

I've seen the Spider-Man set. But I've never seen it for sale only pictures. However back in the 70s in the comic ads they would sell those Shooters along with 5 superhero statues. They looked like the marx superhero statues.

I remember those ads so vividly. One of so many items I saw advertised in the comics that I really wanted. (Still do!)

Not sure if Fleetwood manufactured them, but I'm pretty sure they are reissues of the 60s Marx figurines/statues. The artwork they use are pretty close to the original Marx sculpts.

The full colour ones are Fleetwood.

^^^ Was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. I do know the color ones are fairly hard to find and I think (not sure) they are a bit smaller than the Marx ones.

Oh wow, I never knew that! But they are the same sculpts as the Marx, just smaller?

basically the ads in the comics I used to read, always had me so interested in all they had to offer. Even till this day.
