Aw jeez. She had a rough way to go in a lot of ways, but despite being publicly ridiculed for her problems, went on working. She was the perfect Lois for Reeve. They had such great chemistry. RIP.

That’s sad. Now Lois joins Clark up in heaven.

After we were just discussing her following the Pod Stallions Superman podcast, in the 80th Anniversary of Superman, 40th Anniversary of the Movie.

She was wonderful, unconventional, beautiful, tough, funny, vulnerable, and absolutely perfect in the role for which she'll be remembered most. We believed a man could fly; she helped us believe in his humanity and capacity for romantic love.

This is heartbreaking news. Can't help but imagine an afterlife where she's busting Reeve's chops, and he does that affectionate slight eye roll and smirk, knowing he's got his friend back.

Really saddened to hear of her passing. I'd met her at several cons and she was always super nice and gracious to all of her fans and had a wonderfully brilliant and wry sense of humor. Indeed, she was the perfect Lois Lane for Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent/Superman. RIP, Ms. Kidder. Prayers for peace and comfort to your family, friends and fans...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I know most people here think of Superman when they think of Margot Kidder, but my mind always turns to her roles in some classic horror flicks. She was superb as Barb in Black Christmas, a personal favorite, as well as Sisters, The Reincarnation of Peter Proud, and of course The Amityville Horror.
May just have to pick a couple of those to watch in honor of her passing. RIP.

Wayyy back when people didn't "cosplay" and before I joined the Mego Museum, I met Jimmy and Lois.

My brother took this photo of Jimmy taking my picture with Lois. Columbus Comic Con 2003 give or take a year? No charge. Those were the days.32562069_10215566037571502_3051630313131212800_o.jpg

At the time, back when Superman premiered, I wasn’t too crazy about her. But as the years passed, I began to appreciate her more and more...and now, she’s THE Lois Lane to me...everyone else is behind her...

                    RIP

I'm so sad about this. Scrappy, beautiful, vulnerable, strong. Like Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, she was all those things and lit up the screen for me. She is and always will be my favorite Lois Lane.

She was never really a classic beauty and her inner demons took their tool early in life, but if you've ever seen the audition footage for the movie, you'd understand why she was cast. She beat out some other good actresses like Amy Irving and Stockard Channing because she really believed in Superman, and that made us believe.
