    Halloween (2018) 6.5/10
It's probably the one Halloween sequel where I've thought at least they had a story to tell. A good performance by Jamie Lee Curtis, disappointed to hear a sequel is in the works.

Dolemite is my name (2019) 9/10
I think I liked it better than "Ed Wood" which was written by the same person. A real love letter to Rudy Ray Moore. Like "Wood" this glosses over Moore's personal life (RRM was very secretive) and makes him a little bit of a caricature but it doesn't impede the real story which is all about following your dream.

      I really liked Dolemite too

just got back from Terminator Dark Fate. I really liked it. acting is what you would expect but I thought they did a good job explaining the time changes etc, action sequences were really good. the beginning car chase was really intense. 8/10

House of Wax. Amazing film, great setpieces, fantastic makeup. Vincent Price was outstanding.

            Just watched The Ring (2002)

Didn't like it because I couldn't understand it … How a dead girl made a haunted video is never explained ... Surprised it has high reviews

uuuhh... she hired a haunted production company, obviously.

              My Name Is Dolemite

It felt like it might have leaned heavily towards the nicer aspects of Rudy Ray Moore, but I really enjoyed it just the same. If you're a fan of the original movie, you will love this loving perspective. I really enjoyed watching them re-d the scenes from Dolemite, especially the scene where the FBI fights Dolemite at his trunk. They even got RRM's outfit right!

Just saw Logan’s Run after a quarter of a century of not seeing it, if not more.

                What an awesome movie...

I remember seeing Logan's Run new at the local drive-in and thinking it was soooo boring.

                  Today I love it

It's not a very accurate adaptation, but it's entertaining. I liked the series, too.

                    I'm surprised it hasn't been rebooted/remade.

War For The Planet of the Apes

Surprised I liked it but I don't agree with many reviewers that say the CGI is flawless … Are they planning on making more movies or was this just a prequel trilogy ending with War ?

I think that's it for the Reeves arc. Now that Disney owns Apes, expect to see something new done in the next few years with the brand but i have no idea what.

If anybody watches that new Stephen King movie Doctor Sleep i'd like to hear about it.

The TV commercials make it look like it's a direct sequel to Kubrick's Shining including showing the twin girls, but we all know King HATES that movie and would not make a sequel to it.

That said, it doesn't remotely look like a sequel to his mini-series either.
