    Marvel Activated Super Heroes

With Avengers: Infinity War upon us, I take a look at a forgotten Marvel toyline in-between Mego and Mattel's Secret Wars, PPC's Activated Super Heroes on the latest Wonderful Toys.

Special thanks to our own Brian and The Spiderman Collector for the use of their photos!

^They were fun to play with, once I got past the fact that they weren't action figures as I deluded myself into thinking from the Heroes World ad.

I filled out that ad, my mind got so excited at the thought of all those pocket heroes. I came to my senses when I realized nothing was pictured.

^You were a smarter man than I! But the figures were nicely done, and fun.

The origin of the TimMee toys fantasy figures. So, that's what the originals looked like. They barely changed Doom at all.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Oh, so TimMee made those? I thought maybe PPC started those when they lost the license. Thor was barely changed as well. They turned Mljnoir into an axe, that's about it.

You are right PPC made them first in the early 80s during the height of MOTU. TimMee has the molds now and still reproduces them.

Wonder if anyone ever painted them?

Some of the Gulliver figures are very similar to the PPC Activated Marvels. Not sure what the connection is. The Spider-Man in front is in the exact same pose, and I believe they came in painted and unpainted versions.

I had that exact set. I wonder how hard it would be to find them again?

^They don't seem to show up on ebay very often, and I've never seen any at toy shows. Maybe I've just missed them, but I don't think so.
