    RIP Bruno Sammartino

Wrestling legend Bruno Sammartino passed at the age of 82. I met him once in the mid eighties at a wrestling match. it was in the days when he was a broadcaster and was also helping promote his son. Seemed like a really nice guy

I met him in the 80's at a mall show.

He talked the whole time to a buddy and ignored everyone in line --- just signed autographs like a machine and didn't even look at you.

    RIP

Once you read his accomplishments, it's hard to say he's NOT the greatest of all time. No one will EVER come close to holding the WWF title as long as he did.

      Rest in Peace Living Legend.

RIP. I enjoyed watching him announce matches in the 80s.

What is this...death week?? If anyone knows someone out there, ask them to consider slowing down this death stuff for a bit. Of course, every life ends, but I could do with a bit less of it.

Already saw the vultures out selling his product hours after the news broke, trying cash in.

Oh wow I was a huge Paul Jones fan back in the day. Sad to hear that. Paul Jones was a superstar of the old Southeast Wrestling days back in the 1970s. He, Ric Flair, Chief Wahoo McDaniels, the Anderson Bros, Ricky Steamboat and Black Jack Mulligan used to wrestle each other all the time.

Have to see if Monday Night Raw has any kind of tribute.

I remember seeing him fight Rowdy Piper in a steel cage match at the old Boston Garden, Piper was trying to climb up the cage and Bruno grabbed a hold of his trunks and tried to yank him down, all he did was yank his trunks down instead, the crazy things you remember, and I did have a Bruno Samartino LJN figure.
