Any Love 4 LJN's Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Figures?

Besides my Mego Micronauts, I think this is my favorite toy line ever (if you couldn't tell from some of my Mego customs LOL)...

It's a beautiful line. I wish I had collected it, but I was distracted by MOTU at the time.

I recall wishing they had added the cartoon characters, too though.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I agree. I think adding the cartoon characters may have made the line more successful.

loved this line as a kid. I had a lot of them too. sold all of them off years ago. I too wished they had added the cartoon characters. also wish that the figures had had more articulation.

Had the elf as a kid and still have him. Also had a few of the PVC figures too, very nice line and I'd like to pick up more.

One of my all time favs. I love the sword & sorcery genre.

Besides the figures I also collected the other merchandise related to the characters like the story books and D&D modules.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I had a friend who had some of the dragons. I don't recall him having any of the figures, although I kind of recall seeing them in stores. If they had the cartoon characters, I would have bought them.

Still, a great looking line. The colors are so vibrant.

I did not appreciate them at the time. While I was huge into D&D, I thought the figures were too colorful and toy-like... I wanted figures that looked like the '81 Excalibur movie. But now that I'm an adult, I think these figures are awesome. They got loads of charm.

I collected this line in the late 90's/early 00's and if I had the money and all that I would collect it again. A creative and pretty well done line. The figures lend themselves to the imagination quite well. I always thought a toy company would do an updated line while I was collecting it but of course that didn't happen. I did have one of the figures as a kid but that was all as my folks couldn't afford everything.

I have three of the PVC figures (Troll, Minotaur, and Shambling Mound) and one of the storybooks Werewolf posted (the one on the left atop the Basic Set box). I picked those three up at a Gen Con auction about 10-12 years ago, but haven't gotten any more since, though I would if I ran into them in the wild when I had a buying budget.

Always liked this line. Back in about 85? I remember a full wall of the PVCs at KB toys, $.10 a piece. I bought $5 worth. I had boxes of them. Gave them all away when we moved 3 yrs later.

Yes, those were great. They were so cool.

One day, I'll bid on a Fortress of Fangs.

Of the PVC ones, I always loved the Umber Hulk's Treasure!
