Signed up for youtube red just to watch it. Neither character is completely sympathetic, and neither one is all the way a villain, which made for a really interesting show. I too was pretty much the exact demographic they were aiming at, and it hit the mark for the most part. Note of caution though, it's NOT for kids.

Having watched the original movie several times, my son was a bit worried that Daniel was going to be the straight-up villain of the story. Glad to hear it's a bit more even than that.

Watched first two episodes last night and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Loved the Easter eggs and nods to the old movie. I am way to excited for this. Sucks that I have to pay to watch the rest.
