I went by my TRU today and it's started. While the signs say up to 30% off nothing was above 10 at the moment. I've heard it will go up every week. I took a lot pf pics inside as well.

Another thing hit me when I watched a toy ad on Nick today while skimming the channels. The ad ended with "Available at Target and Toys R Us." And I thought aloud "Not for very long."

I miss when Toy r us looked like that. The ones I grew up going to have all been romodeled and look nothing like this. There bright ugly white and look like a Walmart. I haven't seen one like that in years...

The TRUs around here are very modern looking and un-fun. We came across a classic one like Scott's recently on vacation last year in Wilmington, NC. Even the interior layout was old school!!!

Took my two youngest today for one last trip through a real toy store. One of them got a little choked up. I call this pic "Bummin' with the Batbot."

Ours has never been remolded so it looks like the day it opened. But I have to admit it does show it's age.

I went again tonight and walked out with a TRU shopping basket. The lady working there was very sweet about it.

Safeway is going under around me, and I went in to one on Friday and it was depressing. I dont think I want to try and do that with ToysRuS.

Safeway is huge here in California...they are all packed with customers all the time, day and night...
