Trailer looks pretty COOL!! I'm not a purest when it comes to LOS(Star Trek is much closer to my heart). I'll definitely be checking this show out!

I'm also happy to check it out, despite never seeing a single ep of the original series.

i had hopes for this series. I no longer have it. the Robot B9 (AKA YM3) looks horrible. the concept of him is trash. I did not like Dr. Smith being a female, however I do like Posey.
I dont agree on my 2nd fav character being adopted and her race changed. i could live with it, but touch the Robot NO WAY.....

My feeling is, not everything needs to be deadly serious/end of days/life or death. It's okay to be a little silly and have fun with a property once in a while. Especially with something like LIS which was known for it's humor and not taking itself super serious.
            Kind of my sentiments too.

Looks interesting, I’ll probably give it a watch. But gawd forbid, I guess stuff can’t be FUN anymore.

I grew up on LIS but even as a kid, I thought it got far too cartoony for it's own good.

Most of the complaining I've seen has to do with the remake not emulating the show's style, I feel that. The robot is incredibly iconic and wonderful, that's a big risk.

I hope the show is about family first and foremost, make it inspiring.

Reviews are starting to pour in:

'Lost in Space' goes from 1960s sci-fi kitsch to Netflix blockbuster-TV – just forget the CGI and tune in for the two veteran actresses. Our review.

I will definitely give it a chance. I was never a fan of the original, so I can go into it without a lot of expectations.

Way more positive than negative ^^^^^

Not all sci-fi has to be action-packed like Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc...

Some of the best are slow moving but interesting and fascinating like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Solaris.

Rotten Tomatoes isn't anything that I even look at anymore.

3 shows in, lots to like, really adheres to the first season which was very adventure/disaster based. Like the new family dynamic, the Robinsons feel real.

                          The whole family is hooked.

I'm hoping to start in on it tonight when I get off work. I've heard Parker Posey really kills it as Dr. Smith, so looking forward to that, too...

Bill Mumy's cameo is really clever when you think about it. Also notice the space station commander's familiar uniform and a certain last name.
