Ya know what Mike, it's not really a Race issue for me...it's more of a accurate casting of the character issue that offends my inner comic Geek. I just thought of a great example too! I can easily accept Ben Affleck as BATMAN...but absolutely HATE the idea of Jake Gyllenhaal or Michael Keaton as Batman(all white guys).

I don't think I've ever seen her in anything I have watched and I can't decide if she reminds me of Jenny Agutter or Alex Kingston.

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Looks good! Big budget-looking, like a movie.

The Robot is going to be an alien that the Robinsons come across...I actually dig that...as the Robot will definitely be far more formidable...looks like it’s going to kick major arze.

I’m all for an alternate Lost in Space...no need to replicate the same old thing all over again...

Also, they won’t be the only ones out there: Hundreds of families have been selected to help explore the far reaches of space. But obviously the series will focus on the Robinsons.

            That makes more sense...

It’s funny how different generations are reacting on the new Lost in Space. Some, like myself, are okay with the changes. Others, especially the older crowd, are up in arms, especially about the alien robot. The millennials are the funniest...complaining that they want the originals, but not the ones you think, they are saying, where’s Matt LeBlanc, Mimi Rogers and Heather Graham...we want the original Robinsons...

I liked it ok... I wish the design of the robot was less humanoid.. although I do like the face on it.

At least they kept the robot’s voice familiar...cool...

It looks fine. No nerd rage here. Doesn't bother me at all but I have no interest in checking it out either.

My feeling is, not everything needs to be deadly serious/end of days/life or death. It's okay to be a little silly and have fun with a property once in a while. Especially with something like LIS which was known for it's humor and not taking itself super serious.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The original first black & White Lost in Space episodes were far from silly and campy...it was in fact serious sci-fi. But as it progressed, the character of Zachary Smith changed from evil to slapstick clown...thus creating the life long friction between Guy Willians and Jonathan Harris, which was unfortunate.

This new show mimics those very early original episodes.

Nothing silly or campy about this Lost in Space...

It feels more like a Forbiden Planet episode...

I'll give it a watch. I never really had strong feelings one way or another about "Lost in Space" other than a huge crush on Angela Cartwright when I was a kid.

looks great. I wish they had made the robot at least look a little more like the original, just maybe not as clunky. but I will definitely give this a watch
