    Bionic Man Misson Control Console

Started this as a fun project and had enjoyed the time spent as I truly love Kenner's SMDM line.

After mocking up the dimensions to 8 inch scale and to fit an 11x17 paper, I took to photoshop, piecing together pics from Google.

Then, cut it out and started carefully folding. The paper used gave the same type of white crease marks as the 70's that I liked.

And thought, "what can I use for the wires?".....after a wasted trip to Home Depot, I tried the pet store and found this in the fish section. LOL

    Now I'm excited.....

Had to have interchangeable screens, so cut those out along with an extra TV screen. The folded boxes now drying.

So far, I'm happy with the results......

For the base, I used foam board and broke out the exacto knife. For the telephones, I cut a 3-sided square to create a rasied effect, and glued on print offs of the actual phones.

Thumbtacks held it in place nicely and i was sure to use whites ones as to not draw attention.

I've been checking out pepakura (papercraft) youtube videos recently and even other people's homemade wire+paper action figures. After seeing this I was reminded that I considered making the living room for my FTC Married With Children figures, once upon a time. Heck, something for their huge Space:1999 range sounds exciting, too!

            Great inspiration! Nicely done!
