I can honestly say, no writer, musician, performer, or artist has ever brought as much joy to my life as John Williams. Amazing that I got to live in the era of such a creative force. A Genius with a capital "G".

^Indeed! The power of the shark motif is in the simplicity. Although the entire score beyond the two-note shark motif is very rich and complex. It's easy to dismiss it as simply "da-dum-da-dum", but there is a LOT more to that score than that. There's a (pun intended) boatload of fantastic drama and adventure music beyond the shark motif. I'd highly recommend Intrada's 2 CD set be in everyone's collection.
