Robert Wagner / Natalie Wood murder back in the news

I always thought this whole incident could be a Columbo episode starring Robert Vaughn as Wagner

If I was Columbo i'd be big-time hounding Christopher Walken .....

Don't think Walken did anything, but he knows more than he's telling

Walken is probably the more loved of the two male actors, so it'd be a shame if he's implicated. Tragic no matter how you slice it.

I've learned about this case over the years. Walken is not in any way a person of interest. Wagner has long been suspected, though mostly through witnesses from other boats who heard an argument and a supposed delay in response after she went into the water. I don't think there's enough evidence, unless there's been more discovered.

I'm just trying to figure out the motives of the criminal mind -- if there is one.

Why would anyone want to kill Natalie Wood ?

She was clearly a 40 something sloppy lush but that alone doesn't seem like a reason for murder

            Really ?

Don't think I've heard that one.

If true you'd think Wagner would say, TAKE HER

It's really weird. I remember hearing about this around the time it happened, but it wasn't until a few years back that I realized Walken was even there. I think it's because I had no frame of reference for him until the late 80s, even though I saw A View To a Kill shortly after it came to video.

It was strongly rumored at the time that Wood was having an affair with Walken. They met while making the film Brainstorm. Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood had already been married and divorced and married each other again.

Mike---- I'm not surprised at any choice, any action, or any thought that might surface in this particular case... love is crazy--- and we're talking "Hollywood" style scenario on top of the usual craziness---- what I'm saying is: Just about anything of that odd romantic nature is possible.

I dunno, to me it seems like ANYTHING Hollywood is fake -- including "love" in all forms ... More lust than anything

Seems the quiet dude actor/actress that's married to a Joe/Jane Schmoe is usually the happiest

this makes that old riddle "What kind of wood doesn't float?" relevant again!!

Okay... Well, in the context of my original post just look at my usage of "Hollywood style" scenario AS a "lust" qualifier to "love", and we're even-Steven.

                          Or maybe we're..... "even-Walken"?

In any event, I DO have a hunch that if Wood would've kept quiet that night, she would've been happier.

                          Crude...

Ture. Wagner certainly had quote a few beautiful overs. Anita Eckberg comes to mind.
There's supposed to be a connection with Jack Nicholson too...his property if I remember correctly.

I think you're thinking of the Roman Polanski controversy in regards to Jack Nicholson.
