I'm not sure what your favourites were but I had a mean love affair with playing Hangman and staring at the Sleestak on the "Land of the Lost" board.....For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com
Only one I had of those was Bermuda Triangle. It was awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
I have Operation, Battleship and Hangman. The last 2 I found at a flea market for $2 each. They were in mint condition. The pegs hadn't even been pulled off the Battleship game. The seller said they just sat in a closet for about 35 years.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
Chopper Strike was a cool game, with a 3-d board there was a clear plastic board for the choppers that was held over the game board by plastice stands. The game board had jeeps that could shoot at the choppers unless the choppers were over one of the lakes. It was simplistic but still cool. I'd kill for Sub Search, wanted that so bad as a kid and still do. It's basically Battleship on four levels. I own Life and Battleship (who didn't) also had Sunken Treasure. It plays a bit like Operation, you have this plastic deep sea diver with a metal magnetic rod coming out of his feet. There are odd shaped slots in the board that are edged in non-ferrous metal. You try pick up the "Sunken Treasure" coins without hitting the edge of the slot. If you hit the edge, there was a turntable under the playing surface that spun and moved oll the coins to different positions. There was paper money and I think cards that determined where you got to try to pull the coins out. Don't remember how you win but that's the gist of it. I would love to own this game again too. I've played hangman and Tank Battle too, but didn't own them.
