12" figures with oven mitts? Skinny bodies? Really?

Even Mego did better than that back in the 70's.

C'mon FTC...surely you can do better.

Mego did make 12" Heroes with Skinny bodies and mitten gloves. I personally don't mind that aesthetic but Mego did revamped heads and I would have dug that too,

I always thought the 12" figures had molded hands...am I thinking of the magnetic versions?

If they do a 12" version of their revamped 70's Batman I'm in.

The Magnetics had colored hands and beefier bodies but Mego did both styles of almost every character they produced.

That middle Robin is gorgeous. What an outstanding head sculpt.

Yeah, the whole skinny line has really nice sculpts.

I have to admit I'm very curious as to how these will look. I lime the look of the second Superman above. He looks very clean and well done. I might be tempted to get a couple of these, as long as the prices aren't ridiculous.

Not a fan of getting 12" versions that look like the original 8" versions. I will wait to see if they do updated versions. Easy pass for me.

And no Wonder Woman. I definitely would not do a repeat of her in the pajamas. But an updated version in 12" would be cool. I also would not want a repeat of the 12" Daisey Duke body either though. At 12" the female body needs to have the same articulation as the male bodies.

I'll probably grab the Aquaman and Shazam for the bodies and outfits but add different heads to better fit the design of the prvious 12" characters.

I thought someone messed with the timeline again because I could swear these already came out.

Turns out I was remembering the 18" figures.

I think i'm on the same page-- if these are all going to be exact replicas of the 8" versions then I'm not interested. I bought one of the 18"-ers as a novelty, and upsized versions at 12" amount to the same thing. There's a lot I'm willing to forgive at 8" that I wouldn't at larger scales. However- this is an opportunity to expand and improve bodies and sculpts, especially with the female characters. I hope they take the opportunity.

To my surprise, they did exactly what I hoped and enlarged the 8" figures!! I like the look also.

Have they only shown Batman and Robin so far?
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I do not mind 12" versions of the original 8", but I am glad Scott said there will be 12" of NEW FTC 8" DC hopefully with more detailed heads and costumes and updated bodies.

I also want reissues of original Mego 12" DC figures Superman Movie 40th in 2018, TV Wonder Woman and magnetic Batman and Robin. Maybe Superman figures in their corrected movie costumes and additions like Clark, Lois, Ursa and Non.
