At this point, I don't really care. He's a good actor, and he'll be as good as the material and direction is. Not someone I would pick, or wait on, but I'll reserve judgement until we see him in the suit, in a theater.

Didn't even know who he was, had to google him. Looks a little too pretty.

          I'm suffering Batman fatigue.

I'd like to see a totally new direction with the character. A 1970's Neal Adams type detective series would be a welcome change, with a BLUE and GREY costume. Enough with the black armor already.

I think they should just do a REAL Batman tv series. Scrap the movies for a bit and try a TV show. But the movies make too much money for that.

I like Jake as an actor but I think he is all wrong for Batman. but then again, we all though Keaton was wrong for the roll too and he was fantastic

Yeah, it's hard to say until you actually see what they are doing with the character. I couldn't see Keaton, but he was great. Everyone was saying Gal Gadot was too slight to be Wonder Woman and she was great. Nobody could see Chris Evens as Captain America because of his Human Torch role, but HE IS CAP... so while the actor matters a lot in some ways, no less important is the material he or she is handed.

I actually like Affleck as Batman, but if he leaves, maybe that would give the folks in charge an excuse to "reboot" the DC movie universe a bit. Save the good bits and what's working; jettison what hasn't worked.

I'm ready for a DC reboot. Salvage the Gadot WW and just forget the rest.

Never seen Donnie Darko? Check it out, pretty darn good flick...

Gyllenhaal has two connections to Batman already. Him and Heath “Joker” Ledger starred in Brokeback Mountain...and his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, played Rachel in The Dark Knight.

Mistake. Jon Hamm might actually BE Bruce Wayne and I'm convinced he can pull off Batman, so it's weird to me that it isn't just assumed that's where this is going.

yeah I saw that, didn't recognize the name. Personally I'd like to see a 30's Noir type Batman anyway, just make it stand alone. Marvel has forced everyone else to think its got to be an interconnected franchise.
