    Ollie's Discount DC supersale

If you have an Ollie's Discount store near you and you like DC comics, go check them out. They just bought in 19 truckloads of DC tradepaperbacks and hardcovers and have them at super-cheap prices. I just got back form ours and got all this...

    for under $200.

Trades were $3-$4 each, Showcase volumes $3 each, hardcovers $4-$7 and omnibus $13.

Lots of classic stuff and newer stuff.

Yeah...discussion on the Back Issue Facebook page has gotten a little heated about EVERYONE posting about this and not enough talk about bronze aged books. Wish we had a an Ollies here on Long Island...but nope. Oh well.

Stopping by the nearest Ollie's this morning. I know the other one in the area was totally bought out according to a post on the Back Issue Facebook page Berto mentioned. Here's hoping there's something left.

Ice storms here, topped with snow. By the time I can venture out, I'll bet the pickings will be slim to none. Ugh.

Hit the motherload at Ollie's this morning. There was another guy there filling up a cart and he said he was going to flip them on Amazon. Good luck getting much more than you paid for. Everyone is going to know about this.

I just want to READ them. Thanks to my very enabling wife, I went beyond my originally budgeted amount and just bought want I wanted. Some of these were also picked by our son as well. Dropped a little over $100 (mostly Christmas gift money) and got 28 books!

^There were quite a few of those at my store as well, but I tried to not duplicate anything I had as single comics, so all the JSA and Starman volumes were out, for instance. I wish I had found that Super Friends Showcase book!

^Probably worth giving your nearest store a call and asking. They had multiple copies of EVERYTHING that was there, so unless someone came in and bought the lot, there are probably still a good number of copies left.
