    What were your favorite boardgames?

    For me it was Sorry!
I've heard multiple times that the Battlestar Galactica game was really fun, is there another sleeper gem that most people didn't own.

    ‘Sorry!’ for me, as well.

I liked the game ‘Trouble’ a lot, but I don’t guess it counts as a board game. Another board game I always thought was fun is ‘Life.’ As a late teen and young adult my friends got me into ‘Axis and Allies.’ That was fun.

I preferred Parcheesi to Sorry. I liked the wooden pieces better than the plastic ones and the small dice and dice cups that Parcheesi had.

I had a lot of board games as a kid-Monopoly, Pay Day, Life, Clue (which was a particular favorite), Family Feud, Hangman, Fat Albert, Star Wars: Escape from the Death Star, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and more.

When I got to jr. high, I got two of my particular favorites-Dungeon (a board game version of D&D) and Dark Tower.

around that time I also got Crossbows and Catapults...

which combined board gam-like play with the way I used to play with army men.

I loved the original SW board games, especially "Escape From Death Star", plus Survive, Risk, Stratego, Clue, Dark Tower, and a lot of others.

I also played Hero Quest a few times at a friend's house, and thought that was a great game.

I think I had that BSG game, but I can't remember if it was mine or cousins.

One I wanted but never got...

something I still keep an eye out for whenever I am at a toy show.

D'oh, how could I have forgotten Stratego and Risk, played those all the time.

            Chess.

But my fave modern era geek ones...I grew up and played Monolopy a lot, as family members were crazy about that one. I also loved Battleship and Stratego. Dark Tower too.

I never got into Dungeons and Dragons...loved the miniatures though...

Happy Days boardgame was my favorite. Wish I still had it.

Close second is Six Million Dollar Man, which I still own and still play with my kids on a regular basis. We actually played it last night.

I always wanted Mouse Trap but never got it or played it.

The commercials made it look super fun

I loved classics like chess (more so than checkers, and I always wanted to learn backgammon). Of the "famous" ones, my sister and I (along with a neighbor) used to play marathon games of Monopoly. When younger, we loved Candy Land, and I've always like Sorry. My all time favorite is probably Trivial Pursuit.

But in terms of a vintage type game, I think my favorite is Monster Mansion, which involved navigating a haunted house and collecting treasure tokens while avoiding tokens that had the Universal Monsters on them.
