I just read about that, so young. What a tragedy.

I always thought Brian Bonsall was worf's son

Steuer was Alexander in the first appearance of the character, one episode, then Brian Bonsall took over.

Exactly, the actor we all know from 99% of the episodes is still alive and well

^I was thinking the same thing. Bosnall was the regular Alexander through most of the show.

oh okay, I thought I was having a senior moment. still, tragic that this young man should die so young. I assume drugs were involved but no cause mentioned yet

One episode of Trek gets you billed as Star Trek actor.

Always thought the character was annoying

They should have got Spike from Happy Days to play Worf's son.

Yes he would have been 20 years old at the time but who cares ?

"news broke that the Star Trek universe lost a key member when former Next Generation actor and musician..."

Well, whether it was for one episode or one thousand...someone would played a Trek character still died...and thought maybe it was at least of some interest because of the Star Trek connection.

So if Brian Bonsall had died. It would’ve been more important? Because frankly, he’s just as unknown to me as Jon Paul Steuer. Because frankly, both were journeymen actors. Neither famous outside the Star Trek geek world.

^^ The article makes it out like he's a big name in the Trek world.

Kinda like somebody saying the Captain of The Enterprise has died and then finding out it was Jeffry Hunter
