No. The deluxe set did have his original triangular shield, but there was also a Cap set that had a variant color scheme on the round shield, with the outer stripe being blue (as in some of the Golden Age comics). I got the variant set at Toys-R-Us, so it exists.

Thanks, two odd choices to be sure.
On the back of the Dr Evil figure box there is a pic of Red Skull...that definentley would have been a cool choice.
Too bad the line didn't find an audience.
I wanted to like them but the quality was horrendous! The bodies wouldn't hold a pose naked much less with the ill-fitting costumes.
Poorly executed from top to bottom. Sold mine for pennies on the dollar, such great potential ****ed away by going cheap on production and/or no QC.
I just finished up getting all of the Marvel figures that they released. Lucked out on an Iron Man. Spent months looking at that costume going for $100 plus and wound up getting it out of the box, but on a figure, with the Hawkeye parts for $12. Whew. I spent a few years thinking these figures kind of stunk, but after seeing them in person, I got onboard quick. They have their faults, but all toy lines can be picked at. I got hooked pretty quick and I could not be more pleased with what I have put together. I wound up reaching back into the Playing Mantis line and at some point, I will post some pics of what I have collected. The hardest part of my collecting was getting enough bodies for the right price to put the outfits on. But I did it.
If anyone is thinking of getting these, I'd say give one or two a try. You might fall into something that I found fun to pursue.
I liked them well enough. There were a bunch of missteps in production and distribution, but they were really quite nice for what they were. And the bodies, while flawed, were pretty incredible for the price point. No one was doing anything near that articulated for $20.
