    The return of Darkman?

It would seem Liam Neeson isn't slowing down with action films.
He has a new one coming out, The Commuter.

It really got me thinking...Sam Raimi needs to do a sequel to Darkman.
Superhero films are hot. Liam Neeson is hot. NOW is the time to bring back the original
Peyton Westlake and his one man war on crime.

Get Danny Elfman to score it again and you'd have a massive hit.

I was actually pretty fond of the Vosloo version too. My friend worked on those so i got daily updates from the set as i was a big fan of the original.

Oh yeah, me too! In fact both sequels just came out on Blu-ray earlier this month. I have the really great mask from Trick-or-Treat Studios, and the Sideshow PF figure.

There were a series of novels too in the early 90's. I read them all and they were pretty good. Also had the Marvel comic series.

Actually, speaking heresy here, I really preferred the Vosloo sequels. Yeah, the budget was markedly lower and they lacked the Raimi-trademarked over-the-top-ness from the first but I liked the overall tone and feel better. They felt more consistent and less self-parodying and all-over-the-place, and more like an old pulp character updated for then-modern times.
