    RIP Dick Enberg

I read earlier that he passed, possibly of a heart attack. I'll always remember him for Wimbledon and AFC football with Merlin Olson. I'd pretty much tune into anything if I heard him calling it. One of the last of a disappearing breed.

He will be missed! I certainly spent countless hours listening to him.

Yep, one of my all-time favorites. I put him in a group with Vin Scully, Pat Summerall and few others. A titanic talent who will be missed.
Sad that both Dick and Bud Collins are now gone; Wimbledon will not see their like again.

He was an icon in sports commentators, growing up I remember him doing play by play NFL games on NBC with Merlin Olson, plus Padres baseball games and many other events.
