    Gordy Batman toys

I remember buying 3 or 4 of these from the dollar store in the early 90's, they came out a year before the Tim Burton film and use the old style guide design. Now they run around $8-12 a pop. I have to say they are pretty cool.

I had just about all of those. Bought them from American Entertainment who advertised in the comics at the time. Unfortunately every single one of them got overheated and the bubbles separated from the cards.

It's hard to believe but these were kind of a big deal in '88. Guys were taking out ads in Toyshop selling them.

There was so little Batman merch out there at the time that these were a big deal, until exactly 12 months later.

^Exactly. And it shows how WB WASN'T on top of their game with Batman merchandise in 1989. Much of it used the 82/Super Powers-era style guide art. There wasn't a lot of dedicated Batman movie packaging until Batman Returns.

The Super Powers batmobile is actually on the racing game. I view them as the last of the original blue and grey merch. I don't have a desire to collect all 11 rack toys but I wanna pick up this one.

There's a version of the target game where the Riddler target reads "The Joker".

The packages weren't shipped in the best shape, but I had the crime set as a kid and wanted to have it again.
