A Christmas Story and a Miser Brothers' Christmas.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

                Batman Returns. Always.
In Toronto, it's playing as a 1:30pm matinee at the Rue Morgue on Bloor this coming Saturday, December 16. Wow.

Right now the only MUST SEE is A Christmas Story. I put it on Christmas Eve and let it play through non-stop for the entire 24 hour run.

Over the past few years I have given up on my children who never had much interest in any Christmas specials.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

It can vary, but the ones l try to watch each year are:

                    The Addams Family Christmas episode
The Year Without a Santa Claus
                    The Nightmare Before Christmas
                    Scrooge (the musical)
                    A Christmas Story
                    The Shop Around the Corner
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Karloff)
Santa Clause Is Comin' to Town
                    A Charlie Brown Christmas

I have most of these on DVD. I will watch almost any version of a Christmas Carol, I think I like Sim's the best.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

                      My personal "Go Tos" are:
                      Rudolph, and
Christmas Vacation - However, my darling bride of 26 years will always turn the station just as Clark is wistfully looking out the window dreaming of his new pool. Sigh.

Christmas Vacation and if a Christmas story is on, I'll watch those.

The rest of the family watches Elf, Peanuts and my wife and daughter have a weird tradition of watching the schmaltziest films they can find.

Watched one of my favorites yesterday, Bob Clark's holiday classic. No not that one! This one:

^Great film. Set the template for all the slashers, especially Carpenter's Halloween.

Yeah, the first time I watched it, which admittedly was only a couple years ago, I wasn't super impressed. I liked it, but felt a little underwhelmed. With each successive viewing though my opinion has changed. It's really well made, the phone calls and stalking scenes are super creepy, and it's now one of my favorite horror films. It makes a great double-feature with Deranged, with which it shares some cast and crew.

I got a lot more Xmas Horror to get through in the next week or so!

The Year Without a Santa Claus

I like others too but I make sure I at least find time to watch the above.
