    My Aunt used to make a really, really great fruitcake, but with not of the "candied" fruits. It went great with egg nog or a cuppa tea. If memory serves, she put some type of spirits in it, as well. It was good and I do miss it every year....

          The best store bought one I've ever had is Claxton. That's all they make and they've been making them for over 100 years.
