I intended to wait a couple of weeks and then go but my kids would hear none of it. I gotta say I too really enjoyed it. Star Wars was exciting again!

I hate watching movies in 3D.

The best movie experience is IMAX non-3D...that’s the way to go.

For some reason,Star Wars fans only see Disney and hate them for what they did to Star Wars. They seem to ignore the fact there's still a LucasFilm.

This one is a real stumper - people who usually land on the same side of things seem to be really split. I didn't like it much at all- thought the writing was sloppy and lazy, but for everyone who agrees, there are just as many who really liked it. What's odd to me is how many folks are turning it into some measure of personal character vs. personal preference (not here, mind you, I haven't seen a lick of it here, but elsewhere in the ether).

Trust me for all of the hate for the prequels at least they didn't blatantly rip off the OT like the sequels are doing....

Despite the bummer of a spoiler I've learn...I still plan on seeing it in the Theater and doing my best to keep an open mind. I know it's probably the end of Star Wars as I know it and what it means to me personally...but after all "Nothing gold can stay."

I think the fact that The Last Jedi is so controversial shows that it did what it needed to do. Personally, I thought the movie was wonderful. It recycled classic Star Wars beats, but in new and surprising ways.

I agree that folks shouldn't fly off the handle and say crazy things like "I'm through with this crap", and "Everyone should be fired" if that's what you consider nerd rage. It's not constructive and serves no purpose other than to vent. Although, they have as much a right to complain as someone else has to praise. But it's no sin for someone to post out what they see as missteps either. Even Mark Hamill said that he disagrees with the director on the way Luke is being portrayed but he got over it and did the work.

On these forums, I've seen most folks just point out things that seemed out of tone or out of character. There's been just as much rage from those offended that someone didn't love the movie.

There shouldn't be any rage or "dead to me" comments, we've really missed the point of escapist entertainment.

I saw it last night and thought it was great if not a bit too long.
