    Toys r us 1976 christmas commercial

    I have posted this before, but it's that time of the year again.......Time to play it one more time and get that nostalgic feeling!

    This may be the single greatest Christmas commercial ever produced.

    In my opinion anyway.
    If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

        Love that commercial.
        You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

          If you remember NY toy commercials then you surely remember this one:

          Lionel Playworld was one of the early "supermarket" toy stores, famous for having "low, low, low" prices, but after more than a decade of unsuccessfully comp...

            I'm from NYC too, and I remember this TRU ad from watching after-school cartoons and sitcoms on WNEW. You guys are right, it's pure magic! But I was in CA by '79, so I didn't see the Playworld ad back then.
