Always felt a little strange Cushing was never counted as a doctor yet Paul McGann was?
I guess because Cushing’s roll was retelling of hartnell stories and McGanns is original.
I like to think of Cushing’s roll as somebodies retelling of the Doctor from their perspective and interpretation of the events.
Like reading a book with you envisioning the character before they make a movie and cast somebody in said roll.
