Hello All,
So for years its been said that Ironman's chest-doohickey was nothing more than a button. For years I searched Joanne Fabrics and other stores that carried buttons hoping to find a button close enough to the classic Mego Ironman's.
The other day I stopped into my local Dollar Tree and found this.

Now here's a close up of the raw button.

Now the rim of the button is not as tall or sharp as the original... But it is DANG close. I painted one of these buttons with some glossy red paint and then added a faux jem (instead of the usual paper yellow sticker... Just to be different)

So what do you think. I'm sure the paper sticker would look good too! This is the closest I've found to the original in the wild.
