That Joe will have some stories to tell his buddies! -
Great! The only thing that wound have made it better is having Joe’s parachute open up and, from the ground, film him gliding down.

I haven't been that thrilled with adrenaline since Point Break!
That was insanely cool, but like Ian, I was expecting his chute to open.
Parachutes always fascinated me as a kid. AHI Parachutists and the Fisher Price Adventure People skydiver are part of my DNA.Comment

^ Same here! Had a lot of time and fun with the adventure people parachute. I think it's still ready in my parents garage with a RAH Joe on it. Also loved the AHI parachutist Spidey..had lots of fun with him.
As a kid, it was close between parachutes and SCUBA.

When I saw this photo for Brian Heiler's Rack Toys Book, I was absolutely moved. It was as though someone took a snapshot from my childhood. This picture just speaks to anyone who enjoyed parachute toys as a kid.

Absolutely, Ian! Scuba figures always had that mysterious appeal too.

AHI made a whole lot of great rack toys. I loved a number of them, but that Spider-Man parachutist is my favorite. It's certainly the most nostalgic for me. (Off topic, but another very nostalgic toy, for me, is the Remco powerized Captain America. I must have carried that guy around for a year...only put him down when I wasn't playing with Mego's, Adventure People or Star Wars. I was fascinated with it..I just loved him.)
I had just about any figures with parachutes or SCUBA gear. For a while, I even had a Frogman/ SCUBA diver who was battery operated and swam in the pool or bathtub.

My palms got sweaty just watching that. I'm surprised his arms didn't pop out when they grabbed him in the circle! But, yeah that was awesome sauce.
Oh, and I loved parachute toys too. Had a lot of the AHI Parachutists, and loved the chutes in my Joe Skystriker so much I ordered those parachute packs with my Flag Points!
