    Buck Rogers Flying Model Rockets

I have never known the pleasure of flying model rockets but these Sci-Fi related kits really tempted me as a kid...

It would have been crazy cool to put a rocket in each of the Starfighters engines --- unfortunately there no way it would work because you can't get two sold rocket engines to ignite at the exact same time.

    I've tried

Built a 3-1/2 foot balsa and cloth WW2 Spitfire in hopes of trying to fly it with rocket power mounted to the wings

No matter what, could just not get the rockets to ignite simultaneously .

That's really cool. I had a friend who was into rockets. I never had the patience, but they are fun to watch launch...and then follow over a couple of blocks where they land...or crash.

Man oh man, Estes was my rocket vendor of choice and me and my buddies built tons of kits over the years and had many successful launches, some not so good. Most were the standard rocket looking kits, but someone would come up with a different type of kit.

Launching rockets is a lot of fun. Here's some pics of the last rocket I shot off: The October Death Bird. It had a camera on board.

Buck Rogers rockets would have been a lot of fun.

That rocket with camera is incredible, J.B.!
