    Superman Box Art Image

I wanted to ask about the mego Superman box art image, is it based on a comic book cover or is the image drawn from one of the pages in Superman comics or Action comics? or could it had been taken from an advertisement?

I read on the museum home page about the mego box image origins, but I didn't see anything on
Superman, so I wanted to ask.

    Thanks for any info.

I think it may be the one image from the original 4 that hasn't had a definitive origin found for it. It always looked like a swipe of a Dick Dillin Superman, who was drawing Justice League of America and World's Finest at the time.

Yeah it's not known if there is even an image of Superman like that or if Mike Jemacian simply created his own pastiche using another characters pose like he clearly did with Aqua-Flash-Man.

I tried to do more research but came up empty, so most likely it was something drawn up from someone's own thoughts.

Thanks for the info and help, appreciate it.
