Theatres have a per cap on tickets. If you go below a certain ticket price average, you have to pay the difference. It's higher than your matinee price, but lower than your evening price. Studios aren't stupid. They know theatres would charge lower prices, otherwise. They have teams that analyze your numbers. Trust me, they don't mess around, either.
