That Thing From The Comic Ad You Still Really Want

For the longest time, I wanted to know what one of these even looked like. As an adult collector, I've periodically tried to hunt on down, but every time I see one, the seller wants hundreds (like this one starting at $399!) Some day...

So what is your on your "some day" list?

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

It was the Our Way jointed hanging figures, but my wife has a Wonder Woman. I'd still love to have Superman and Batman. But now I think it's the "popcorn" melted plastic art super hero hanging figures.

I just got an old Santa one this summer, and now I want the heroes.

Those awesome Super-Hero (or in the case of DC Super-Friend) Stick-Ons from the mid-70s. I've been tempted to click buy on several occasions, then realized I was about to pay a ridiculous price for STICKERS. Still, they're pretty awesome!

I'd love to start collecting all the BS Karate and Kung books and records that were peddaled over the decades. That way I can kick all your butts!

For me it was art portfolios (I am a big fan of these and snag them when I can). Some of the ones I wish I had gotten (or would still get if I found them in the wild)...

                    and the Marvel blacklight posters...

WOW! I had no idea about that back story. I always just assumed it was all a publicity sham.

^ That is a great story!! I figured it was something made-up, as well. Wow!

By the way, Bill (or anyone), what is the Sub-Mariner item that you posted. I've looked at the photo and recall a Submariner item in the back of comics, but I can't remember what it was and I can't tell from the photograph. So, what is it?

I assume it came from this line...

though the ad only offers Thor or Spidey, I think they made others later.
