    Thank you, Henry Cavill...

Superman actor Henry Cavill also acknowledges the missteps of the DCEU, and praises Wonder Woman as “the first step in the right direction.”

“There was a style they [DC] were going for, an attempt to be different and look at things from a slightly different perspective, which hasn’t necessarily worked…it hasn’t given everyone that sensation which superheroes should give the viewer.”

“I think it is a wonderful time for the female hero,” Cavill said. “It is the perfect setting in social politics right now, we need it, we want that perspective, and Wonder Woman has struck at the ideal time and has become a phenomenal success, which is fantastic.”

“It is even better to come back from a mistake or stylistic error into the correct vein because it will make it seem that much stronger. Wonder Woman was the first step in the right direction.”

Time to finally get our proper Superman back...

That's great to hear. But this has to be a bitter pill to swallow for Zack Snyder. He walks out the door and suddenly everyone is second guessing all his decisions. I tend to agree with them, but I kind of feel sorry for Snyder in a way.

Snyder would have been great if he had no story contribution. I have no issue with his visuals. They really botched Supes, though. He isn't supposed to be mopey.

Yeah, I had read that interview. I like the part where he said he "selfishly wants the other DC films to succeed, so he can keep playing SUPERMAN!"

In 2018, DC Films will takeover complete control over DC related content, not just films and comics but TV shows. DC streaming service is priority. Shows will be made for fans first and then for the general audience (the pitch for the platform). Also, AT & T merger WILL NOT affect creative side of things at WB, they are happy with how WB is run and don't want to shake things up.
Cavill has been asked to clear his schedule in 2018 (don't know exactly when). He is set to shoot for 3-4 movies in next two years.
WB is targeting for 4 DC related movies released every year from 2020 onward. Of course, the work will be shared with New Line Cinema. It is also quite possible that DC Films, itself, will assemble it's own team (they are expanding at the moment and hiring people) and make movies, but that will be independent from WB's creative control, although all three will still follow the DCEU framework or else the new independent films or what is called the elseworld.
Unlike what news outlet posted few weeks ago, the new elseworld films aren't planned to go under a different banner, when in the first place 'DCEU' is not a banner in itself. At the moment, these movies are regarded as independent, that's all.
Geoff Johns want to do multiverse as soon as possible (soon doesn't mean next year or even 2 years, so don't get too excited), don't know if TV shows will be part of it or not, but older version of Batman and Superman will be.
Having said that, WB is trying to sign as many former DC related actors as possible to keep them in loop on TV, just in case. Also, Linda Carter has been approached again to appear in WW, Patty wants her to appear somehow. They are working on the details at the moment.

Wonder Woman should be in the center/front of that concept poster, she earned it...
