Oooooh scarrrry!!! Hey, I guess good on them for trying to mix the genres. I just can't help but think of when the New Mutants got their start with Bob McLeod's friendly, accessible illustrations of 80s teens with powers.

Apparently it's supposed to be based off the "Demon Bear" issue of New Mutants that Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz did, so I can kinda see the horror angle to it, but it still doesn't look very good. A little to generic for my taste. If you're gonna do New Mutants, show me some mutant abilities....

I too admire them for mixing genres and freshening things ups...but this looks like Horror Movie #17 of the year. If the Marvel banner and the scrawled words "New Mutants" weren't in it, I'd think it's another Conjuring spin-off.
