Massive Comic Book theft in my area

I don't know the victim well but I've met him a couple of times and we have mutual friends, as a collector in the same region, this is pretty scary. Jim is also well known in Star Wars circles I'm told:

I believe there is a thread of the CGC numbers and images of the books stolen floating around I'll try to track them down.

The following books have been stolen from myself and Jim @Guardian Comics , please everyone keep your eyes peeled and if you have any information regarding the books where abouts please let us know. These are only th...

I guess there was a high end comic store local to me that was also robbed, co-owned by the victim. I didn't know it existed.

      yeesh. That's brutal.

If you didn't know about the store, then it has to be someone who frequented it. There's no way "two males" would try an arbitrary smash-n-grab and only take high-end books. Unless I'm reading wrong, they didn't take electronics, jewelry or cash.

Well, what I don't know could fill a warehouse when it comes to comic stores but it's in an industrial complex of all places. I've only ever gone down there to turn around.

But yeah, seeing as they hit his house and store within a week, he likely has met his burglars.

I've only had a passing interests in actual comic books until I was on a 6 month kick from November to April ish. I have about two short boxes filled. I mainly got early Bronze Age marvel.

Man, I hate to see this. It does sound like the crooks were pretty familar with the victim.
On a side note, why do reporters need to trivialize this crime because it's comic books? If they stole a quarter million in diamonds they'd be all serious, but the same amount in rare comics has to get the caped crusader comment. All they left out was POW! and Holy Crimewave! usual staples of narrow minded local cub reporters.

Yeah, our local paper is a spelling mistake ridden rag that is basically 95% fliers and trash writing. A lot of people commented as to how they trivialized this.

BTW it's the third pop culture related burglary in some months around here and someone in my family was one of them. It's getting a bit gross out here these days.
