it is brutal. but I think series form works better for the Punisher than theatrical. it really give them time to show what a tortured soul Frank is. I am 8 episodes in. will finish it up tomorrow. Bernthal was born to play this role

I'm on the third episode, and am finding it pretty boring.

Finished watching this morning. it is a little slow moving at parts but all in all, one of Netflix's best Marvel series. I put it behind DD and just ahead of JJ

Watched up tp epusode 5 I love Jon Bernthal but not enough of him in traditional comic outfit and its way too brutal personally I like the Thomas Jane version a little more I hate the opening theme horrible the Jane version had that retro spaghetti western thing

We are so different, as I like Jessica Jones better than Daredevil.

But won’t list the final Punisher ranking just yet...as I’m still only in episode five...but so far I like it better than both Daredevil seasons...and it’s on a par with Jessica Jones.

One thing I hate about the Netflix Marvel theme music is that every single one of them suck...all of them, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders, and now Punisher...all their opening themes sucks, boring and unmemorable.

Yeah I like this approach better than any film I've seen. I really love revenge movies, so while I never read the comic, it seems to work well on a platform like netflix. I think this actor is the best interpretation I have seen.

This Punisher has absolutely nothing to do with the comic version. He had his family killed in Central Park because they were witnesses to a mob hit. So he went after the drug dealing mobsters. At least that's what I recall from the original comics.

yeah, I never read the comics either(well maybe 1 or 2) but I agree, best interpretation of the character, IMHO. yes they changed some of the backstory, but it still is the same idea, family murdered, seeks revenge, has a strong code of honor. I just love how they show how tortured the man is. really gives more of a sense of what drives him. the villain was obvious from the get, but I did not mind. I guess he becomes jigsaw? I think that is his name, same villain from Punisher Warzone?
