They're not showing enough William Castle movies this year. Oh well.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

^ I agree, I like "Mr. Sardonicus" particularly.

Still, a good line up. Some truly great second-tier Hammers, and I recommend "Eyes Without a Face/Les Yeux Sans Visage" very highly.

I love TCM always, and October is a special treat.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Some good stuff there, as always. I've seen a LOT of horror classics thanks to TCM in October!

Gonna record The Night of the Strangler. Can't wait to see Mickey Dolenz as something other than a Monkee.

From Beyond the Grave is one of the better anthologies. That'll be on 10/25.

The Brood and Repulsion are on back-to-back on the 29th. Both are great.

Lot's of good stuff as usual. I love October!

Really looking forward to seeing "The Innocents". My friend Rob Kelly recently covered it on his Film & Water podcast. Sounds very intriguing, and surprisingly twisted and layered for an early 60s film.

It's a good one. I watched it last October on TCM. Reminds me of The Others.

I miss seeing Mad Monster Party?
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

                    AMC is out. All 80s.

Feels like there's an opportunity being miss3d.

Which channel showed all the Hammer films in the 90s? Was it TNT? AMC? I owe them a lot, but I can't exactly recall.

AMC used to run a great selection back in the '90s when they were a classic channel and gave a damn.

^Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, they were the edgier TCM back then. Now they just show cut up slasher flicks at Halloween. Sigh.

AMC started in a similar vein as TCM & predated it. But they began showing commercials and changing their programming in the late 90s. TCM quickly eclipsed them (and also buried Fox Classic Movies); it has done an incredible job at building a brand and encouraging a "classic film-fan" lifestyle.

Man, I miss the TBS/TNT days when they would run blocks starting at 5 on weekdays.

That was...wow...twenty years ago now. Good lord.
